The Florida State University College of Medicine, in partnership with Apalachee Center and Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare, has received initial accreditation from the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) for its psychiatry residency program, addressing a critical need for the training of mental health care providers for the region and the state. The FSU-sponsored program will be based at Apalachee Center, the region’s largest provider of behavioral health services that helps individuals recovering from emotional, psychiatric and substance abuse crises.
