Buzz: For National Self-Improvement Month, what would you like to improve about yourself? | Lifestyle

”Showing gratitude has always been a pivotal part of my life, especially to my parents. Entering my sophomore year, I realized how little time I had in Guam before college, and I immediately thought of my parents. As Vietnam War refugees, the odds were stacked against them, but they worked tirelessly throughout their lives to have the ability to raise my sister and me comfortably. Realizing my immense privileges from growing up in a loving household is crucial for self-improvement, so I must share my sincerest gratitude and appreciation for my parents to the best of my ability. They’re the most resilient and caring people, and I can’t thank them enough.”
